Service Dogs Alabama (SDA) has received the 2021 Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar by Candid. As an online charity profile platform, GuideStar is the largest source for nonprofit data collection, providing unbiased information which allows charities to highlight their mission and commitment to transparency. GuideStar aims to be a transparent and reliable source of information so donors can make educated decisions about the charities they support.
Central Alabama Community Foundation awards SDA $10,000.00
Service Dogs Alabama received a very generous $10,000 grant from the Central Alabama Community Foundation to train and place a specifically trained Service Dog with an Educator Handler in a River Region school. When Service dogs are placed in a classroom, they can decrease anxiety, behavior problems, aggression, and hyperactivity among students.
